Why we built it
The share sheet makes it easy to send. Nobody made it easy to keep.
It started with a 50th birthday trip.
My wife and a group of her friends were deep in the planning phase — the best phase. Reels flying around the group chat. Restaurant picks from that food influencer they all follow. A beachside villa someone had saved months ago. The kind of excited, optimistic sharing that makes a trip feel real before it's even booked.
The problem was none of it was findable. Every link that landed in the thread disappeared under the next twelve messages. By the time someone asked "wait, what was that restaurant?" it was gone. The reel was still out there somewhere — but finding it meant scrolling back through days of messages hunting for a thumbnail.
Watching that frustration — the same thing, over and over, across every group planning anything together — made the problem obvious. The share sheet makes it effortless to send. Nobody had made it effortless to keep.
So we went down the rabbit hole. What if you could save a reel directly from Instagram into a shared board? What if the board sorted itself by type — restaurants, hotels, activities? What if you could see all the places on a map, and vote on favourites without starting a new thread?
We had a lot of fun building it. Grupie came out the other side.
